Capital City Fencers' Club is hosting their annual fencing tournament, Fence-A-Thon, from June 4-5, 2011.
Fence-A-Thon is a charity event, and all money raised goes straight to the BC Cancer Foundation. Last year, the tournament raised over $3000 between about 30 participants. Fencers competing in this tournament are looking for donations (a pledge form available via email upon request, our club has a copy) which can be printed off and filled up by your fencers.
Location: St. Andrew's Regional High School, 880 McKenzie Ave (Victoria, BC)
Events:
Men's and Women's Epee
Men's and Women's Foil
Men's and Women's Sabre
Tournament starts at 7:00 pm, followed by a midnight feast and then continued fencing throughout the night until 7:00 am!
Fee: $20 per event
Note that you will need a competitive passport (e.g. CFF or equivalent fencing licence) to compete in this tournament.
Registration deadline is June 3 at midnight.
