Stephen Lazar Memorial Tournament 2014

The UBC Fencing Club would like to invite all fencers to the annual Stephen Lazar Memorial Tournament. The tournament will consist of senior events in foil, sabre and epee, and a junior (U20) sabre event.

2014 UBC Intercollegiate Tournament

Hi Everyone,

UBC is hosting an intercollegiate tournament this year!  Here's the info:
When: February 16th, 2014 (Sunday)
Where: UBC Student Union Building (Ballroom)
What: Foil, Sabre, Epee
Fee: FREE!

Please note that CFF licences are NOT required, however, you must be a current member of a college or university fencing club to compete. Beginners welcome! We can lend our club gear to you if you don't have your own so this shouldn't deter you from competing!

Hunger Games Catching Fire Movie Social

Hey fencers!

How are all of you? I'm sure the exam stress has gotten pretty intense for some of us already, while those of you who do not attend school are free from such troubles (lucky!). But worry not, this is a reminder for a de-stress-a-thon of good flicks and food. 

The aforementioned will be the last social of the year. We will be watching the Hunger Games Catching Fire at Scotiabank theatres this upcoming Sunday the 1st, followed by dinner at Guu Gardens.

Movie-goers: we will be watching the 4:50pm show so let's meet at 4:10 at the base of the escalators. This will allow ample time for ticket purchases and good-seat-snatching!

Dinner-ers: I will have a reservation under the name June at Guu for 7:30. We can meet you there!
