Hi everyone,
Here's the skinny,
1) Thursday's class is cancelled this week (AMS scheduling issues).
2) Next Monday is Halloween Games Night. YOU SHOULD GO FOR AN AWESOME FENCING NIGHT OF DOOOOOOOOOM (and candy).
3) An equipment order will be done on Friday. If you want stuff, go to the absolute fencing website (http://www.absolutefencinggear.com) and email exactly what you want by Thursday. (left handed, right handed, blade size 5, etc.) Check out our blog for more instructions.
K thanks, bye

Slash and Stab Tournament: Sunday October 23rd, 2011
Hi everyone!
We are having our annual Slash and Stab Halloween tournament. Epee and Sabre people, this means you, on Sunday October 23rd! So far the men and women events are separate.
You will need your up to date CFF and BCFA licence to compete. For those who do not have their CFF and BCFA licenses, or need to renew them, you can get them together here: CFF Licences
You can register on AskFred, and read any additional information or requirements here: Slash and Stab 2011 Ask Fred
*Please note that there is a field that says "USFA Member Number", but please leave it blank.*
**Pre-registration closes: Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 6:00 PM.**
For those unable to compete, or who have never seen a tournament, we encourage you to come by! It is very educational, in that you see how pools work, how the tournament is structured, and you can meet other fencers from around the lower mainland.
Would anyone like to volunteer with the set-up or take-down on Sunday morning? Just email us at fencingubc@gmail.com if you can :)
Thanks so much, and we hope to see you there!

First lesson of the season on Monday!
Hi everyone,
Guess what!? Monday the 12th is our first fencing lesson of the season! We are on the top floor of the SUB, so if you have troubles finding us, just listen for sword-ish sounds. Or, you know, go to room 214/216 (of the SUB), at 7:00PM.
Come join in, cuz this month your first lesson is free!
Ta taa :)
--Jessica Clayton
PS. Wear running shoes, shorts/sweat pants, and a comfy t-shirt.
