The votes are in and we have decided to have our X-Men: Days of Future Past movie social on Saturday, June 7, 2014!
Where: Scotiabank Theatre (900 Burrard Street, Vancouver)
Time: 12:45 pm
Let's meet up at the entrance of the theatre at 12:00 pm to buy tickets.
Movie is 2:11 hours long...so we should be done at around 3:00 pm.
After the movie, we'll be going for food at Tokyo John Sushi (869 Hornby Street...it's just across the street from the theatre).

April Club Equipment Order - Pick-up Details
Hi everyone,
The club equipment order we had placed in April has arrived! We will be bringing the package to fencing practice on June 5th so those who placed an order with us can pick them up. If you can't make it to Thursday's practice, not to worry. We will be holding onto the equipment in our club lockers so you are welcome to drop by one of our fencing practices over the summer to pay the remaining amount that is owed and pick up the equipment!
If you have any questions, let us know.
The amount owing (rounded up) has been posted on the fencing club's Facebook page and here (after factoring in conversion from US dollars to Canadian dollars, AF club discount, taxes (GST, PST), duty, shipping cost and deposit you paid earlier):

Board Games Social
Hi all,
Mark your calendars because we're organizing a board games social on Saturday, May 24, 2014!
Time: 4:30-5:00 pm start time
Location: Bosco's pad (((10 x 24 x 4) / 2) + 1 W 19th Ave (beside Starbucks) on Cambie
We'll make this a potluck so you are welcome to bring some snacks and drinks to the party! Feel free to bring some of your board games and/or card games but just let us know what you'll be bringing in case another fencer brings the exact game! We'll have some party games at the social as well.

Fence-a-Thon 2014
Hi all,
The Capital City Fencers' Club presents the 9th annual Fence-a-Thon, a twelve-hour, overnight fencing marathon to benefit the BC Cancer Foundation!
The venue will be at 4564 West Saanich Road, Victoria, BC.
Date: May 31, 2014
Time: 7:00 pm to 7:00 am (next morning)
Cost: $20 per event

Our competitive fencers usually attend this tournament every year so we will most likely travel together to catch the BC ferry from Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay, then bus together to the venue. Once it's over, we'll catch the bus to the ferry terminal in Swartz Bay, arrive back in Tsawwassen and bus back to Vancouver. We will coordinate this through our Facebook group.
