Mark your calendars because we're organizing a board games social on Saturday, May 24, 2014!
Time: 4:30-5:00 pm start time
Location: Bosco's pad (((10 x 24 x 4) / 2) + 1 W 19th Ave (beside Starbucks) on Cambie
We'll make this a potluck so you are welcome to bring some snacks and drinks to the party! Feel free to bring some of your board games and/or card games but just let us know what you'll be bringing in case another fencer brings the exact game! We'll have some party games at the social as well.

Fence-a-Thon 2014
Hi all,
The Capital City Fencers' Club presents the 9th annual Fence-a-Thon, a twelve-hour, overnight fencing marathon to benefit the BC Cancer Foundation!
The venue will be at 4564 West Saanich Road, Victoria, BC.
Date: May 31, 2014
Time: 7:00 pm to 7:00 am (next morning)
Cost: $20 per event

Our competitive fencers usually attend this tournament every year so we will most likely travel together to catch the BC ferry from Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay, then bus together to the venue. Once it's over, we'll catch the bus to the ferry terminal in Swartz Bay, arrive back in Tsawwassen and bus back to Vancouver. We will coordinate this through our Facebook group.

Equipment Order April 2014
Greetings fencers,
This month we are doing a club order from absolutefencinggear.com. If you would like to get any equipment through us and take advantage of the handy club discount, please follow the procedure outlined at http://ubcfencing.blogspot.ca/p/equipment-orders.html
Alternatively there is a post on the club's Facebook group where you can comment with your request; either method of requesting equipment is fine, but if you want to be absolutely certain of getting your order included I suggest emailing us at fencingubc@gmail.com . Please be sure to give us exact specifications so that we can order exactly what you want (eg. sizes, handedness, standard or elite gear, grip style, additional options, etc.)
The order deadline is Monday, April 21st. 80% deposits in CAD should be given to Lynn or to Jensen on or before that date.
*UPDATE: The UBC Fencing Club is not responsible for items left more than 60 days after the arrival of the order.

BC Provincial Championships - June 20-22, 2014
The BC Fencing Association welcomes all CFF and USFA fencers to the BC Provincial Open Championships!
All registrations must be pre-paid through ASKFRED by June 6th 2014. After this date double late fees will apply. To compete, a CFF licence is required.
