2010-2011 club clothing order

We are now taking in orders for the club clothing. We will be taking in orders now until Monday, December 20, 2010. That week and a half should give you all enough time to decide if you want to order any clothing.

If you are interested in ordering anything, please email us and give us detailed information like:

1. Your first and last name
2. Email address
3. Which type of clothing you want (t-shirt, zip hooded sweatshirt or sweatpants)
4. Quantity
5. Size
6. Colour of clothing (e.g. "navy/tech white" t-shirt, "Irish green" zip hooded sweatshirt)

You will need to pay a non-refundable $20 deposit by Monday, December 20, during fencing practice. The earlier, the better. We wouldn't want you to order something and then change your mind later, and make the club pay for the clothing! If you are not able to drop by to pay the deposit by the deadline, no worries. Please speak with us and we'll work something out.

Note that there is a sizing chart on the Sanmar website - if you click on "Download Specs". There is also a sizing chart on the Stormtech website if you click on "Sizing Information".

I have attached a pdf file of the specifics for the club clothing order in an email I just sent to you all - it includes the logo/designs, prices, links and other specific information about the clothing.

2010 Swords in December Results

The results for the Swords in December epee tournament on December 4, 2010, are now up on Askfred. Events include senior mixed epee.

Social dinner on December 4, 2010

We are going to go out for dinner after the Swords in December epee tournament on Saturday, December 4, 2010.

Location: Tomokazu Japanese Restaurant (1128 West Broadway, Vancouver, BC - restaurant is upstairs on the second floor, #201). The restaurant is one block west of Oak & Broadway.
Time: 5:00 pm

If you would like to come join us for dinner, please RSVP by Friday, December 3rd at 8:00 pm so we can make the proper reservations.

It is all-you-can-eat Japanese food/sushi.

Movie social for December

I realized that since it's the exam period, most of you may not be available on December 11th. The Harry Potter movie social will be cancelled. A new movie social will be rescheduled for another day.

I have set up a Doodle page you guys can fill in if you're interested in watching a movie with us. We want to know when you all are available. Possible dates go from December 8 to 30th. Note that we will still have fencing on Mondays and Thursdays in December so try not to fill in those days we have fencing!

We'll most likely watch it in the Scotiabank Theatre (900 Burrard Street) in downtown Vancouver OR in SilverCity Metropolis in Metrotown (Burnaby). They're both accessible by transit (bus/skytrain).

Also, we are selling Cineplex Entertainment movie coupons for $9 each. If you go to a Cineplex movie theatre, you normally have to pay $12 for an adult movie ticket. You actually save $3 using the coupon! The movie coupons we're selling expire August 31, 2012. The coupons also work for Scotiabank Theatre, SilverCity theatres, Cineplex Odeon, and Famous Players. We'll be selling them at the movie social.

Battle in Seattle - January 28-30, 2011

The USFA Western Washington Division presents The Battle in Seattle, from January 28-30, 2011 at Rain City Fencing Center in Bellevue, WA.

The Battle in Seattle is traditionally one of the Western Washington Division's largest annual events, drawing top fencers from all over the Pacific Northwest.
